I love photography and have done since the film days. You know, when we all used to put film in our cameras?
I still use film and love old classic cameras, I collect them. I have quite a lot of lovely cameras - SLRs and otherwise, and my favourite is my old vintage original Diana.
But what I have been drooling over lately is this:

It's a classic daguerreotype camera, and was created by Susses Freres in France in 1839. And it was sold in 2007 at auction for around £500,000! Imagine being able to spend that much money on an old camera! Someone must be doing well with their Rowan Dartington investment stocks! Apparently it was very beautiful, made of the finest wood and was the oldest commercially made camera.
I see the attraction, I'd love to add that to my classic camera collection, but blimey, not for that much of an expense!
